Pavel Trojan & Pavel Trojan Jr.
A pair of composers, two prominent figures of Czech culture, and members of the same family. Pavel Trojan—longtime director of the Prague Conservatory—and Pavel Trojan Jr.—former director of the Prague Spring International Music Festival and current director of the Prague Philharmonia. This is Pavel and Pavel Trojan: father and son.
The concert will showcase chamber works by both composers, including several world premieres. Following the performance, a moderated discussion will explore a wide range of topics—from the art of composition and the significance of prestigious Czech musical institutions to the state of contemporary music today.
