Children's Club Notička
What is Notička?
Notička (Little Musical Note) is the oldest children's music club in Prague, established by the Prague Philharmonia in 2007. It organizes 5-6 weekend sessions a year for children aged 4-14. Since 2012, we have also run the Notička Prep programme for children from the age of 3, which parents can join too!
Please note: Club sessions are held exclusively in Czech.
What makes Notička unique?
Notička stands out from other similar activities in Prague because it sensitively and creatively combines music with many other artistic disciplines. Notička's motto is to surprise children and introduce them to worlds they wouldn't normally encounter.
The sessions are always highly interactive. They aim to spark children's creativity and natural interest not only in music but also in other artistic and spiritual fields. This is all made possible by our carefully selected tutors, who often become lifelong friends!
How does Notička work?
- Membership is for one calendar year.
- The fee for Notička Prep is 2,500 CZK.
- The basic membership fee is 3,500 CZK.
- The fee guarantees a minimum of 5 sessions per year.
- Significant discounts are available for siblings.
- A single session lasts between 1.5 and 5 hours, depending on the children's age and temperament, with a variety of rotating activities and, of course, a snack! While parents are away, the children are cared for by qualified teachers, educators, and tutors.
Notička is for Everyone
"But my son isn't musical, he'd rather play football!"
Not at all! In fact, Notička is an excellent choice for that very young athlete.
We don't force anything on children; instead, we use engaging methods to inspire them and provoke creative thinking, which is widely known to have a beneficial effect on a child's brain development.
And who knows, your little footballer might just be the next Antonín Dvořák!
In any case, Notička is for all children, without exception. It helps gifted children to identify and develop their talents, while it educates all children and teaches them to love the world of art as a natural part of life.
