A1 Opening concert of the 33nd season (4. 9. 2026)
Martinů. Barber. Beethoven
On 4 September, we opened our 33rd concert season at the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum. Under the baton of Music Director and Chief Conductor Emmanuel Villaume, the orchestra was joined by Canadian violinist Blake Pouliot, who made his Czech debut on this occasion, and pianist Stanislav Gallin. The programme brought together Bohuslav Martinů’s Sinfonietta La Jolla, Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. It followed on from Prague Philharmonia’s successful American chapter, which culminated in a concert at the iconic Carnegie Hall, bringing its energy back to Prague.
