The 32nd Concert Season Has Begun!
On Thursday, September 4, 2025, we ceremoniously opened our 32nd season in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum. A truly inspiring entrée drew us into a musical narrative from darkness to light and back again. The program, lovingly curated by our chief conductor Emmanuel Villaume, featured works by Mozart, Saint-Saëns, Haydn, and Schubert.
And we couldn't have asked for a better soloist! Beloved Macedonian pianist Simon Trpčeski once again proved why he is a world-class performer, charming us with his Czech and a touching story about a Petrof piano. His rendition of Saint-Saëns's "Egyptian" Concerto was so captivating that it prompted two encores. It was an unforgettable event and a wonderful prelude to the new season, which, as this evening showed, will be filled with extraordinary experiences!
