Prague Philharmonia to Perform at Carnegie Hall

In January 2026, Prague Philharmonia will embark on a remarkable concert tour across the United States. Under the baton of Chief Conductor Emmanuel Villaume, the Czech leading orchestra will perform in six cities throughout the American Southeast, culminating in a concert at one of the world’s most renowned venues, New York's Carnegie Hall.

The musical program reflects the deep traditions that Prague Philharmonia holds in its artistic DNA. Works by Beethoven, Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Dvořák represent the richness of European musical heritage and resonate with the orchestra's interpretative and curatorial sensibilities. Audiences can expect a diverse listening experience, ranging from dramatic intensity to lyrical and dance-like moments.

Continuing its long-standing mission to present outstanding young talents who are shaping the future of classical music, the orchestra will collaborate on this tour with two exceptional soloists. Blake Pouliot, a charismatic violinist of French-Canadian origin, brings youthful energy and elegance to Mozart’s score. American pianist Andrew von Oeyen, a frequent guest with the orchestra, is celebrated for his brilliant technique and expressive depth—perfectly suited for Mendelssohn’s romantic compositions.

The Carnegie Hall concert will also serve as a unique opportunity for friends of the orchestra and supporters of Czech culture in the U.S.

A special experience package is available for patrons wishing to attend in person, including prime concert seating, access to the final rehearsal, an exclusive post-concert evening with the artists, concierge services, and an optional visit to the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

This U.S. tour continues the orchestra’s long-term efforts—initiated by its founder Jiří Bělohlávek—to build international relationships and bring Czech music to global audiences. The tour marks Prague Philharmonia’s return to the U.S. after 21 years. In 2026, the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of its independence, adding a symbolic cultural dimension to this concert. For Czech companies operating in the U.S., and vice versa, this offers a perfect opportunity to host partners at a world-class musical event while supporting a leading Czech orchestra with an international reputation.
