A Night of Many Roles: Oscar Jockel Conducts, Composes, and Plays

Our second Orchestral Series concert (A2) on Monday, November 3rd, was an evening of many talents. Oscar Jockel embraced the demanding yet historically authentic dual role of composer and conductor, opening the program with his own captivating work, Floris Glacialis.

The spotlight also shone brightly on cellist Brannon Cho, who performed Haydn's Concerto in D major with extraordinary feeling. His performance earned warm applause from the audience, and he treated them to a beautiful Sarabande from Bach's Suite No. 1 as an encore.

Oscar Jockel also joined the orchestra as harpsichordist for Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3. The evening concluded with Mozart's "Prague" Symphony. Thank you for the wonderful atmosphere!
