Second concert dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven with the section principal Lukáš Pospíšil and the pianist Filip Martinka.
The seventh chamber concert entitled Beethoven II celebrates the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven. The complete performance of Beethoven's five sonatas will be performed by Prague Philharmonia's section principal Lukáš Pospíšil together with the pianist Filip Martinka. Beethoven's cello sonatas are crucial for the Classical period because Beethoven was the first to compose sonatas for cello with a written-out piano part, creating modern compositions in which the cello became an independent concert instrument.
